Dove began around the mid 80's. The Dove Stove name was trademarked by Buckner Enterprises Corporation. At the time, Buckner manufactured metal parts for heating products as well as the Buck type of wood stoves. Dove eventually went out of business, which is why it is so hard to find any information on them.
The history of Buckner Enterprises/Dove started "in 1975 when Carrol Buckner invented the legendary Buck Stove, a new wood-burning stove including a three-speed motor, making the pot-bellied stove obsolete.
Ten years later, Carrol went on to invent the corn burning stove. Technology that provided a safe, clean, affordable heat from America’s fastest growing renewable source of energy, shelled field corn kernels. A corn stove that is still heating many homes today.
They call it Buckner Heat
Our corn stoves, made over 20 years ago, are still being used in homes today. Our units are UL listed and EPA exempt.
Our goal is to protect the industry and the people shopping in the industry. Our designs have been patented from day one.
IMPORTANT: Since the introduction of the corn burning heater, many new manufacturers have come on line due to the value of the renewable energy source and growing marketplace.
Although many look alike, please be cautious when purchasing. There are countless “new” companies trying to produce copies of the original. Their product may not operate as expected due to engineering and design changes without them knowing. There is a lot to know about burning corn.

This Dove Wood Stove Glass is a pyroceramic glass. Able to withstand temperatures of up to 1470 degrees F. We always recommend you measure your glass to make sure that the Glass is correct for you.
