What is a Ceramic Glass?  A Ceramic glass also referred to as   pyroceramic ,  neoceramic  or  robax  glass, is a high temp glass that is designed to handle extreme heat of up to 1470 degrees F (3/16" thick or 5mm). Here at WoodStove-Fireplaceglass we use the term ceramic glass generically, meaning pyroceram , neoceram or robax glass . This glass has a slight "amber" tint to it.  It is referenced as a glass, but in actuality, it is a transparent ceramic material.  This type of glass-ceramic should always be used in any wood stove. Never, ever use tempered glass in an airtight wood stove. CERAMIC GLASS - WHAT DOES THIS REALLY MEAN?
