APPALACHIAN STOVE Glass Model

Appalachian Stove has been making quality gas and wood stoves since 1976. We are not affiliated with the company but we do sell glass that fits their stoves. It was was founded in 1976 and is located in Asheville, North Carolina.

Appalachian Stoves use technology, steel construction and innovative wood stove features. The fire box is made with 4-gauge steel and has a refractory liner that increases burning efficiency by reflecting radiant heat for a clean and complete burn.

All Appalachian Wood Stoves have a scientifically formulated high temperature painted finish. They use catalytic combustor for their secondary burn unit.A catalytic combustor requires periodic inspections so it can be replaced if needed for proper operation of your wood stove.

A catalytic combustor that is not working correctly can cause an increase in creosote emissions and cut down on the overall heating efficiency of your wood stove.

The Appalachian Model 4N1XL is the most popular unit by far. The Model 4N1XL has the heating capacity of 2,200 square feet burn rate for up to about 10 hours on a load of hardwood. These units also have a blower available.

A options for this stove include gold plating for the window webbing, door and legs.
This firebox is 14 inches deep and has a width of 27 inches. It can hold firewood up to 18 inches long.

Appalachian 52 Bay

The 52 Bay is capable of heating approximately 2,700 square feet.

The firewood can be up to 24” inches in length. The fire box is 15 inches deep, 23.5 inches high and 31 inches wide.

It also has a 3-speed front mounted blower.

This unit has burn rates up to about 15 hours.

The Appalachian Bay 52 has an adjustable burn rate dampening system.

The 52 Bay Has a one-piece glass door which comes in black or brass.

This unit also has the option of gold plating on the door, legs and the window webbing.

All of these Appalachian Wood Stoves have a glass air wash system.  This process is actually quite simple and it's a very effective method of keeping your woodstove glass clean.

A flow of air enters into the firebox from a vent above the window glass in your wood stove.  The air is then drawn downwards on the inside of the window creating the air wash.

As long as the secondary combustion unit is in effect and operational, a layer of air is continually washing over the glass which stops the gas, tar and creosote from building up and blackening the viewing window.
